I just picked up an REI Ridgeline Large pack for $64.83 on line. I'd been watching this pack for some time and it gets very good reviews for construction and weight carrying ability. Talked to one of their gear specialists on line because the specs section only says it made of nylone - he checked into it and its 630 denier nylon. I figure I couldn't go wrong at this price, but I can also return it if its just not for me. http://www.rei.com/product/747518NH Hunter.

Got mine Fri - REI shipping is really fast. I was emailed shipping confirmation on Tues and rcd on Fri!
It has a lot more strap adjustments than my old external - need to figure alla dat out!
Now-
Who has used this pack?
How much have you carried in it and how comfy was the weight?
How has it held up?
For 64 bucks I figure it'll be hard to go wrong in any case.

Had to go with the large as that's all that was in stock. Seems like alot of pack for the $. Dave, what size(s) did you order, and if so, are there any appreciable differences in fit?

I received mine just before I headed out for vacation. Initial inpsection upon receipt was positive.
Plan to play with it a bit tomorrow, maybe load up some weight and hit the trail with the dog. I'll let you know my thoughts if I take it out.
