To each his own.Try buying 99 sights and parts.Cheaper to buy the whole gun. Wow, so friggan true. I saw a 21B go $150 last week and at the same time I won a 1905 (the 21B came standard on them) at auction for $210, so I guess I got a $150 sight and for $60 more they threw in the gun.

I don't see 700+ in parts in that carbine. The bbl...junk reciever.Altered. wood.Yuck.
When it comes to choosing friends....I'm at an age where I'd rather have 4 quarters than 100 pennies.

You all got me with this one. The days of $300 99's are going, going and almost gone. Even at $600-700 an 80% 99 is a good value. We who carry them all the time forget how unique the gun is. There is nothing close- at any price. Having said that junk is still junk. But I don't consider a gun junk because it has non-factory holes or a reblue or a repaired stock. ITS STILL A 99! ITS STILL WAY BETTER THAN THE OTHER GUYS. The beauty of free market is you don't have to buy or sell if you don't want to. RP
