Hello
I would like to know what is the BEST scope for someware around a $100.00 ?
I am getting a NEF handi-rifle , and would like to put a good "but not TO good" scope on it .
I was thinking like a 4-16X , but I would go for a 3-10X , or even a 6-20X .
"i wan't enugh power , but not to much that I can't switch to low power for runing , or close shots" .
I have been looking at the simmons Aetec , and would grab one of them right away , and be done with it ,if I could find one for $125.00 or less .
Any help would be grate !!!
Thanks: treerat
[This message has been edited by treeratkiller (edited March 20, 2001).]

I think after I save some money I may put another weaver grand slam on the handi-rifle , and move the 44mag over to my .22lr .

Regards: Treerat

quote:
Originally posted by 458 Lott:
check out swfa.com, they have the simmons 6-24's for $100.

I dont have that particular model, but IMHO, Simmons makes a very good scope for the money.
------------------
TheSouthernOutdoorsman.com

Howdy. Just went through this exercise with my local gunsmith/dealer, and he highly recommended a Swift. $109. Waterproof, shockproof, multicoated lenses, lifetime warranty with over-the-counter straight exchange at the dealer if you have any problems. He held it up to a light and metered it, and it transmitted more light than a Leupold Vari-X II (Don't start yelling at me! I understand the depth of loyalty that scope commands with a lot of people here!)
I'm no expert - that's what I rely on him to be - but it seemed like a pretty good deal to me.
However, if someone here has had bad experiences with the Swift, I'd really appreciate hearing about it.
Greggun
