I have a set of .50-110 dies made by HOLLYWOOD GUN SHOP, and in an RCBS die box. I can remember an uncle of mine had a press by Hollywood Gun Shop, so I assume they made dies also. This was many years ago, so I guess they are out of business now. Did Hollywood possibly make special order dies for RCBS, or was this RCBS box added later by someone? I sent a question to RCBS, but figured some of the experts here might know.

I have a mint, original, Hollywood Gun Shop turret press. I have seen original Hollywood turret presses sell for $350.00-$500.00 each, at local gun shows.

The original Hollywood Gun Shop made presses, and dies, in many calibers. The die bodys, were one inch in diameter.

The Hollywood Gun Shop made almost any type of dies a person would want. Many calibers were special order.

The Hollywood Gun Shop turret press could be used in reloading many giant sized cartridges, because of the leverage the press could produce.

A person can buy adapters that reduce the die mounting hole diameter from one inch, to the now standard 7/8ths die size.

The original Hollywood Gun Shop has been out of business for more than forty years...

Now, there is a person who has bought the Hollywood Gun Shop name, so I have been told, making presses and dies, somewhere in the San Fernando Valley.

Thanks, Bill. Apparently, "Hollywood Engineering" is the new name. The dies I have are 7/8", so were some kind of special order, I guess.

I saw those comments earlier. Apparently, Hollywood Engg. specializes in bicycle carriers for cars, and is not really committed to the reloading business. All of their stuff is sold under the Hollywood Engineering name, according to a friend of mine. Hollywood Gun Shop as you wrote went under many years ago, but some of their equipment is still around, mostly in odd or obsolete calibers.
