Swampfox....Rick said you were looking for information on the Shepherd scopes. I have them on several of my rifles and they have worked as advertised. The optics are clear and sharp. The people who I have sold them to have all been very happy and the only reason I started selling them is that there is only one other stocking dealer in the whole of New England. If you are interested you can email me at VitalSupplywebtv.net. I give a significant discount off retail for NRA/GOA/LEOs, anyone who supports our gun rights. The rest can pay retail...thanks....Bob

I have mounted a Shepherd scope on my Sauer 200 in 308. It is a great scope! The other month, I was at our local range shooting out to 300 yards. My buddy was also shooting with me.
With the Shepherd scope dialed in, I was able to hit the 300 yard metal target 40 consecutive times.
My buddy had a very hard time hitting the target. He averaged 1 hit per 7 shots. His difficulty arose from the fact that he didn't have a rangefinding scope like a Shepherd.
By the way, he is a superior shot with his revolver out to 50 yards. But when it came to shooting medium distances with his long gun, he was at a disadvantage.
Some people don't like Shepherds. I DO!
My gunsmith loves them too. He prefers them over Leupolds.
