Although having no experience with that particular scope, I have experience with the 3-9x42 SII. I can verify it is one helluva scope that I will consider for all my future rigs...

I shoot one on one of my coyote calling rigs. FOV is great and the glass is really clear. I can see 2" black square targets at 300 yds very sharp. I have nothing but good things to say about the scope. It stays on my primary open country gun as it is so clear at distance.

I'm on my second SII 1.5-6x42. First one had great glass but kinda catywaumpus crosshairs. Not bad in the field, but distracting when you looked at them on paper. Sent it in and got a brand new scope in about a week.
Put it on mom's 243 RSI just because she was doing that Mick Jagger Turkey Strut thing with her neck on the Denver Redfield it wore (Looking for the elusive eyebox I'd reckon ... (c) E.) Scope has demonstrated sufficient eyebox to eliminate the Mick Jagger thing (unless somebody be playing that "(Hey You) Get Off Of My Cloud" vibe).
Helluva Scope ... especially for a "woods gun" that is used in a clear cut situation.

Thanks for the input guys! I know where they can be had for less than $200. Right on Gmoney, got one myself! The 1.5-6x42 has a ring spacing(5.12")that's to short for my rifle without using the extension stuff and it's heavier than want. It seems all of the low range variables w/large objectives are HEAVY,some over 1lb. Anyway,I'm going with a VXlll 1.75-6x32.If anyones interested in one of these, the specs shown on the webs(including our own here)don't match the specs on Leupold web. I've notified them and changes are to be made. Again THANKs guys!

Where can the 1.5-6 Sightron be had for under $200 EZEARL? I have one on my 7x57R/12ga combination, and I'm very happy with it in that application. I'd like another if i could get one for the right price.

EZ,
Bought an SII Big Sky 6x42 from them for under 3 bills shipped last fall. Got it right away. Usual Sightron excellence.

Discovery Optics is listed on the Sightron websight as a Sightron dealer. I bought my Sightron from them and everything went well.

Unfortunately Discovery Optics won't ship outside the US, even though shipping scopes to Australia is perfectly legal :-(

I have a 1.5-6x Sightron on a .375 H&H. It is a very good piece of glass and has held up to the recoil. Someone else recently had some for just under $200, may have been Graf's, they had the SIII 1.5-6x for $379.

Yes that is right jstevens. I bought mine from Grafs last October for $184.99 plus p&h. They soon sold out unfortunately, and I've since bought a double rifle for which another one of these would be perfect.
