Royce,
Thank you.
That is good advice, I look forward to getting familiar with that 6X!

Just in case you decide to paint it, this is one of the best looking Kimbers I've seen.

Clark,
That there is purdy!
grin

I like the scope, too.

Maybe I will paint one of my Kimbers at some point?

Hate to say it, but I'm going to copy that rig, only with a Kimber Classic I bought recently and a Montana stock I picked up off of Gunbroker. I'll post pictures when done. Of course mine will be sporting a Leupold FX-III in 6x42 instead of the Swaro.

So wonderfully simple. Sure is purty in an uber-utilitarian way. (just the way I like 'em)

Man I like the looks of that.

Looks like you have ever critter in ID covered with that pair! Those darn Kimbers keep me rethinking of building my 2 gun battery around a Ruger MKII action (already have the 'big' gun)...

Hows your new 308Win going 340boy? Any feeding or extracting issues & how do you rate the rifle in general?
Reason I'm asking. Might just give Kimber another go as I've always wanted a true U/L handy in the safe.

I have been running some dummy rounds through the magazine as fast as I can work the action, no feeding or extracting issues thus far, 340.

I will be going to the range today if the weather holds out!

I very much like the feel and fit of the rifle, so if it shoots well, it will be a keeper, for sure.
