Does anyone have experience with Hodgdon's Hybrid 100V powder??? I'm thinking about trying it in my 7mm Mag.

Not to sure about Hybrid 100V but Retumbo has been by far the most accurate powder I've tried with 160's in the 7mm RM. 71 grains with 160 barnes triple shock 215M primers prints sub 1" groups at 200 yards. 2900fps in velocity.

No, but I can't wait to get ahold of some for my .300WSM. Velocity looks great(using mid-weight bullets) according to Hodgdon.

I'm curious about it in the 7RM as well. Looks like it might be fast with the 140's. Anyone know if it's an extreme powder...I figure it is. I may just have to buy some and give it a go. Brett

I would like to try it behind a Barnes 140 grain Tipped TSX in my 7mm Rem Mag. I guess I will have to get my hands on some and give it a try. Fred

I was gonna give it a try with 120 TTSXs for sheep. Just waiting for it to show up locally.

I went on the Hodgdon site; they have loads listed for it, but I did not look at any for the 7 Rem Mag. I doubt it will do any better with 140's than,say,RL22, but I could be wrong.
It's burn rate is about like 4350 acc to what I read. It may very good in 30/06 and even 375 H&H.
The 280 Remington is overbore.

From the Hodgdon data , it appears to be some pecular stuff , very unlike most of the powders we are using at this point......for example in the 300 WSM max charge weights are very similar to 4350 , yet the speeds are a good 100 fps higher at reasonable pressure.
But with all that , the data indicates at max you have compressed charges (30 WSM) , so it must be quite a bit lighter for a given volume than many current powders.

Gunslinger: Hogdon advertises it as being about 100 fps faster at reasonable pressures. That is why I want to try it in 30/06 and 375... Improvements in powders just continues...little bit here, little bit there; before you know it........
