Can these be reloaded in the 450 marlin? The velocity will be just under 2000. I know this is the bullet for the muzzleloader.

I did not realize that Hornady made a .458" 300 gr XTP? If the bullet is for a muzzle loader then I suspect it is their .451" XTP designed for the 45 Colt/454 Casull or, via sabot, the 50 cal muzzle loaders.

They are pistol bullets, but are used for the muzzleloader. I was wondering if they could be pushed to the 450 marlin speeds.

I don't think you'll be able to place enough crimp on the .451 bullet in your 450 Marlin case. The Remington 300 JHP in .458 diameter is a bullet you should try. I do belive the Hornady 300 XTP Mag pistol bullet would survive up to 2,000 fps. I don't know how much penetration you would get at this velocity or how much weight the bullet would shed.
