I'm thinking of packing this new lightweight filter on the long hauls, for those water refills on the go. Once the destination is reached, I'll switch over to the AquaMira tablets.

I kept reading everyone saying Aquamira tablets but I always had drops. I went to their website and see the tablets. I found the drops to be a small bit of hassle, any downside with the tablets?

I would carry a few coffee filters to pre clean the water before using one of these miniatures. I believe it would be easy to clog them.

I picked up a few of the frontier straw filters on sale at Harbor Freight of all places. For around $5 each what's to lose?. If nothing else,coffee filter the big stuff out, add a bit of bleach/chlorine to the water, use the straw filter to remove the chlorine taste (since it does contain an activated charcoal filter element).

I think the aquamira drops work a little faster, has anyone used these? I was thinking about giving it a try this season.
