Thanks Sheister old bud. I guess if I get in a serious market for a new scope I'll have to look at some of the newer models. Happy Thanksgiving.<BR>BCR

I own two Burris signatures and one leuopold vari-xIII. I've never had a problem with any of them, but Burris scopes just seem brighter and clearer. I don't like the posi lock feature. It can take forever to sight in when using it. I also don't like the gold band on the objective housing of the Leuopold.

I've had a Leopold 2X7 II for over 20 years -No probs. A Burris 6X compact for about 16, also no probs. As a compact (on my mt. rifle) it admittedly and understandably has a fairly critical eye relief and smaller field of vision than standard scopes, but guess what - that has never been a problem, even in a couple grab and shoot situations. Actually, I'm pretty impressed with my Tasco Plus scopes (2). Seem to be equally good as the Leopold or Burris and about half (or less) of the money. and far better low-light scopes - I'd guess comparable to the Vari-XIII in this regard.

I know, this thread is realllll old. But I was doing some searching and came across it.

I have 2 rifle scopes. A Fullfield II 3.5-10x50 and a Vari X-III 3.5-10x50. The Leupold is about 15 years old and the Burris is a little over a year. The Leupold is brighter and clearer. BUT for the $200 difference in the scopes, the Burris is a heck of a deal. I am real happy with the Burris. Ya gotta remember, the FF is the low end of the Burris scopes. On this thread the Signatures have gotten great reviews. If I had to buy a new scope right now, I would get a Burris Black Diamond.

I don't think either the Leupold or the Burris would be a mistake. Leupold does have a better rep seems like though.

Any problems I've had with Burris scopes they have made 100% right with me.!

I like them and luepolds, wish I could afford to buy more sooner!

Whatever you are willing to put up with, is exactly what you will have.

When your ship comes in. ... make sure you are willing to unload it.

PAYPAL, sucks and I will never use them again. I recommend you do the same.
