A question for the 'smiths.

Will the the triggerguard (hinged floorplate) from a Portuguese 8mm Mauser fit a standard large ring?

What is the Distance of the action screw holes CTC. Take that measurement and google the LR Mauser action measurement, and if they match then there ya go.

Yes, the bottom metal off a Portuguese 1904 will fit.

That's what this one is wearing.

Thanks Guys. It's a VZ24 action that I worked over & mated to a 26" Douglas barrel. It is a .338-06. I reworked the 1904 Bottom metal including lengthening the mag and fitting a new latch so it appears seemless.

it is incredibly accurate. On it's first outing I was shooting at 200 yds and grouping 1.5". It was a 200 yd fun shoot and I must have put about 100 rounds through it that day.

Here are the only other pics I have on hand at the moment.
