Hi there is a H&R 22 Hornet with a manlicker stock for sale here. I would love to have it but I am going down hill and woulden't be able to enjoy it. it looks almost new with a scope on it, I can't remember the price I think around $250.00 and you may get it down a little . it is in a gun/sporting goods store and they are very nice people to deal with. I have nothing to gain or loose in the deal, just passing info on to you campfire members.

I seen very few of them , but the two I saw that weren't mine were both hornets.
I owned a 30/30 M158 with the Mannlicher stock and it was a very accurate, easy to shoot rifle.
Wish I still had it....

I agree they are neat rifles - there are (to the best of my knowlege) none in this country - so I built my own and now it is by far my favourite carry rifle.

Its in 303-25 (should have used 257 Roberts rimmed - based on 7x57 rimmed brass), I got a barrel stub fitted up with a barrel from a Tikka 25-06 (had to be shortend to 21 inches) and made my own full lenght forend with schnable. It has a full circumference muzzle band, and a band to take the attachment screw. Topped of with a 2x7 Leupold its just a whisker over 7lbs all up, very nice balance at the shoulder and in the hand. It shoots 1 1/2" groups all day.

Its still a cheap and relatively "crude" rifle compared with a European "Kipplaufbuschen" but it looks better than a T/C, takes down just the same - which you can't do with a Ruger No.1 .
