Mr. GrosVentreGeorge;
While I have been able to successfully adjust a few Parker Hale triggers that were on Parker Hale rifles, they were in my experience somewhat prone to break the housing in a couple areas. The housing should be inspected very carefully for cracks should you choose to use it.
This breakage could be very unsafe, as Im not sure that this would not result in the rifle firing, should it be loaded at the time the housing breaks.
Some (all?) Parker Hale triggers were held in place more or less by pressure from the stock at the rear and if you have one of those, the fit between the stock, action and trigger is critical.
I would have to say Parker Hale triggers would not be my choice on a non-Parker Hale. I believe if you will check a few threads here, the consensus seems to be the Bold product is the way to proceed with your replacement trigger.
I wish you good luck with your rifle whichever way you proceed.
Regards,
Dwayne
