They are Custom,,,I have 2 in 219 Zipper,,,and Tal35-Todd has one.

If it is a rechamber not rebarreled it was a 22 HP and the bore is too big for a 224 bullet. I have a 219 zipper barrell that was made from a 22 HP barrel an idiot job. you will have to use 227 or 228 bullets if that is the case .

I once had a Savage in 219 Zipper. IIRC, it was an 1899H with a recycled Winchester 70 220 Swift barrel. The 99 and 219 Zipper combination seemed like a good idea, but I didn't feel like making cases, so I sold it down the road.

Welllll I now own 2 yes 2 bubba`d savage 99`s #1 is a 250/3000 t/d well was a t/d,now has a after market barrel with soft soldered scope mounts.#2844**.The bore of the 250/3000 is ok.

Rifle #2 (#2326**) is a 219 zipper and was a t/d too,but now sports a after market barrel.One good thing that the forearms have not been butchered to match the barrels.The take down lugs have been soft soldered to the barrels in a hand cut groove!The 219 zipper is a smooth bore with very little in the way of rifleing.X pro roo shooters rifle.

Oh well may use bits to fix a 303 src.

Lionel, may be able to rebore to 22 HP,25-35, 250 Sav if its worthwhile to you. Finding a replacement TD bbl in good shape is the best route.

Steve,finding any savage 99 barrel would be extremley lucky,a good one close to a mericale.

Maybe fix a 303src and make a 270/300 savage?The 250/3000 wont chamber a fls empty case!marking under the barrel says 250w?
Have a 22hp t/d with a ringed barrel,maybe make a 25.35?

Have a Zipper barreled by CC Johnson, custom stock in semi-varmint 1950s style, have factory ammo but have yet to shoot it.
