HG, ya just need to get a bigger place with some acreage, no need to get rid of Clark or any of the others.

I mean,... look at him in that second pic,... he knows the score,... got his chin all poked out,... He's sayin', "I'm a chosen one. God has hooked me up with the Houndgirl."
It's time you owned up.

Best Idea...Lose the freaking CAT(s) and you can keep the pooch!
He probably thinks he is at his "forever" home now...

HG, If I was closer I would be over to pick him up! I have 2 labs and like them better than my own kids (they don't steal the car in the middle of the night! ). My psycho bag neighbor had a beautiful yellow female lab named Gracie, at 4 years old she got tired of Gracie and took her to the vet to be put down. Luckily a friend of mine was there and rescued Gracie. She is now in a good home. I'm still stuck with a psycho bag neighbor that occasionally comes out in pubilc screaming at the other neighbors and their dogs. Just keep hoping she will move away. Wasn't the first dog she tried that with. Too bad you can't keep Clark. Just make sure he gets a good home! Keith

Sounds like a wack job, wanting to put down a four year old dog cause she is sick of it.

You nailed it on the head. She did it to a golden retriever she had prior. Some will say they are just dogs, but mine are more to me than that.

elkhunter76,
You need to catch a skunk and fit it with a shock collar.
Turn it loose in the whackjobs house and start hitting the fun button.

How old do you think he is? Judging by the small amount of grey around his muzzle, I'm guessing 5 - 6 yrs old. If I didn't live in MD, in a small house, I'd be over to pick him up tomorrow! Sigh...... Keep him, HG! Make it work! He loves you!

Awwww HG, looks like you've got a new pup in the house He looks like a huge version of our 8yo lab, with less grey. I'd take him in a heartbeat, but bein a few thousand miles away and the fact that my husband would kill me, lol, Me thinks he should stay with you!!!!

Sounds like a wack job, wanting to put down a four year old dog cause she is sick of it. There are a lot of those types out there - I personally know of two who put their dogs down because they wanted to go on a 2 week vacation. When they got back, they went to the pound to pick up another puppy. In the second case, we got there first, but I have no doubt they soon picked up a "Safeway" puppy. Bastids!!! No hell is too deep for them. HG. That is a fine looking dog you got there! You are a lovely human being, and I'm not talking about just the exterior.

Wonder how much it would cost to have a new friend shipped to Big Max here here in Pa. 3 acres of fenced in doggie heaven. Max is 17months old and 105 lbs of fun

There are a lot of those types out there - I personally know of two who put their dogs down because they wanted to go on a 2 week vacation. That is almost unbelievable! I say "almost" because it seems as though we are living more and more in a throwaway society, where life (both human and animal) is expendable. It truly hurts my heart. Someone mentioned at lunch today that with the increasing number of foreclosures, many people are simply leaving the house and furnishings behind... as well as family pets. That is truly heinous. Just seeing this thread, and well, wondering if we could get Oprah to open a house for wayward dogs!

Did I mention that Clark is still sporting his lunch sak? I will fix that, so to speak, before he goes to his forever home..... HoundGirl If you still have your lunch sack, you may want to re-think this!

If I had any kind of a yard to run a dog that big, I'd drop by tomorrow and pick him up! But, I just don't think it's right to take a dog that's born to run and lock him up in a 25ft by 40ft yard.
Good luck finding him a home!!
