Midsouth has some bullets I've never used, but the price looks good. Are the Varmint Nightmare bullets or the Dead Coyote bullets from Hevi-Shot any good.

In the .224's, the 55gr w/cannelure has a Hornady "spire point" profile, but the Varmint Extreme 50 and 55gr SP are more of a "secant" ogive, which is not a Hornady offering. Plus they now have a .20 / 32gr HP and .17 / 20gr HP, neither a Hornady offering.
So not sure who makes those, but not likely Hornady.
My AR in 223 likes the 50gr on top of AA2200, but a normally reliable NEF in 223 wasn't happy. I had hoped for a "universal" load for my 223's using 2200, but was not so lucky.

I get good accuracy from the 50 grainers over H335 in my 223.

Apparently the .17's are also made by Nosler, as their "seconds" store had some for sale (and they look the same, based on a pic I saw).
Seems odd Nosler is in the bulk biz, so I hated to post any facts/rumors.

I have been experimenting with the Varmint Nitemare Extreme 50's and AA 2230-C in my Dtech ar and they are shooting MOA or less at 100 yards.

Mulerider they aren't bad little bullets. Heres one of the first loads I tried with them. This is with BL-C (2) Muzzle velocity is 3906 fps. The load shoots in this range if I do my part.
