I hear so many horror stories of folks shooting at the bushes and killing or wounding humans. Totally ridiculous. That's the reason I will never deer hunt on public property here. If you saw some of the characters lined up at camp sites and heard the horror stories, you'd see what I mean. Used to work with a guy that told me about his mother getting her arm blown off by a 30-06 on public land while wearing orange cause some genius thought she was a deer????? Sad sad news..... coyo Campfire Regular C Joined: Jun 2007 Posts: 2,342 land of OZ	I have not made a licken bit of sense how a human being with a gun can mistake another human as game and shoot them,Ive been hunting an shooting sinse I was a kid and I have never had any trouble to recognize the correct game,yet this insanity goes on all over the country yearly,we had a doctor a couple years back took a buddy turkey hunting with him and his buddy somehow mistook him for a turkey and shot the Doc and killed him,wouldnt that be a HELL of a ball and chain to have to drag around with ya the rest of your days........Bummer.............Betcha his hunting itch just flew the coupe for the rest of his life........... Hunter in Maine shot a women who was hanging laundry out in her back yard with white mittens on. Whitetail ! 80 yard shot with optics. Stupid people have joined our sport.
