Got my issue of Successful Hunter today, and it has a cool article on, hold on to your hats, backpack hunting! I enjoyed it. It was written by a fellow by the name of Ed Tyanich. If that is you Ed, congrats!

Thanks Ed!

That's great! I like JB's vision for Successful Hunter, it is actually about hunting rather than about the "hunting lifestyle."

I'm not much of a magazine reader but I'll buy this issue of this one. Is this a magazine I can find at a Hastings or Barnes and Noble? Thanks Ed, I'm sure I'll learn a lot of hunting related tips from this.

Dave,
Hastings & B&N carry SH here, so you should be able to get one. I don't think they are out on the news stands yet though. I checked at Hastings here in Helena on Friday and at B&N in Bozo yesterday and they wern't out yet.
Did you have a good season with the sled dogs?

It was a good season, Ed. Mostly spent locally with gas price being what it is. I got my daughter sledding and my son skijoring, so it was mostly spent getting them working the dogs. I keep waiting for a Spring crust so we can do a distance camping trip, but no sign of it here yet. Heck, snow level was down to 500' last week, with powder snow in the mountains. Crazy year this year.
Thanks again, I look forward to your article. I'll prolly pick it up at Hastings tomorrow afternoon since that is on the way to picking up Ciara from school.

well done John, you certainly picked an author that knows his subject in this instance.
I was no newb to bp hunting when I first was exposed to EdT, and I've learned some great tips from him as well as others.
am sure the article will be helpful for folks.

I haven't found it on the news stands yet. Barnes & Noble, Hastings and Wallly World usually carry SH in Montana. Should be out soon.
I'll post when I find it here.

Can anyone shoot me a link? I recently moved and Im missing my last two SH. The liberal bedwetting commies in the bay area dont carry SH or any of the Wolfe Publications at the area book stores.

Well HELL I'll have to buy that issue.
Subscribed to all the Wolfe mags years ago but dropped 'em. I could see myself resubscribing if Ed T and Ron Spomer do more work on BP Hunting.

I checked the local B&N yesterday, it's still not there, but looking forward to reading it Ed.

Weird. I received the issue with Ed's article almost a week ago-usually my SH, Handloader, and Rifle issues get delivered to me AFTER they are already on the newstand. ??
