I went to my stand Sunday night. I had five come in during the hour I was there. Not bad but I usually see more at this stand. All five are here but pic is much darker than it actually was and one 'cub' partially hidden(sorry!) Here's a mid size boar looking up my ladder(same boar that's to the right of the light blue/white barrel in the above pic): And here is is after coming up my tree. Lucky for both of us, the floor was in his way. He was just curious as to what I was, of course, not looking for trouble(otherwise, I would have had the rifle, not the camera!) Hard to tell but his head was about two feet from my right boot.

You don't think he was trying to decide if a Sako toting Albertan was on the menu? Neat picture of the boar, I like it.

Naw, he would know I'm too sour to please his taste. Sweeter things to be had in the barrels.

Mr. SakoAlberta; Thanks for the sharing the pictures.
Im not sure Id be entirely comfortable sharing my tree stand with a bear either, but it certainly made for some interesting pictures.
Regards, Dwayne

Cool pics. HAd similar situations last year with bears coming up the trees to have a peek. Gets the adrenaline pumping.

Just got back in. I took the 11-yr-old tonight for the first time. We had two small(200lbs?) boars feeding under us most of the evening. Then...we had a huge boar show himself briefly. Biggst bear I've seen, I would think. Sorry, no pics as I didn't have long enough to get one. His belly seemed nearly on the ground, yet he was lanky. I'd like to see him again to get some pics and study him more. Maybe even get a shot...

We were out tonight. We saw 9 bears. One was a nice little cinammon. Starting to get rugs on quite a few. Hd one large boar come in - he had a bad limp on a front paw- but he was rubbed. I forget to get a pic and he didn't stay long. I have pics of the cinammon but it was getting dark. I'll post later if they are worth it.
