Today I saw for sale several boxes of Nosler Ballistic Tips in .30 caliber weighing 168 grs-- not the more familiar 165s.

Am I the last one to hear about this new bullet or what?

They have been around for a few months at least. I had not hear anything about them until they showed up at Shooters Pro Shop with the other seconds. None there now.

Nope. They were ballistic tips.

I guess I'm not the only one who didn't hear about them then... That makes me feel better.

I haven't killed anything with the 30 cal 168 gr BT's, but they do shoot great.

retrieverman-- I'm curious-- how do the 168 gr BTs differ from the 165s (excluding the obvious, of course)? Do they shoot better for you than the 165s? How fast can you push them? Any load suggestions?

Thanks in advance.

i've heard they have thicker jackets like the 180s and the 165s have thinner jackets like the 150s
