Sheister,

Am getting a lot of giggles here. But I'd be honored to share chocolate cake with you...the9.3Guy

Speaking of engraved Savages, here's one, ready-made, that is still looking for a home. This will be someone's rifle nirvana

MM,

Every time I see that engraved and dolled up POS, I realize he spent so dammed much money on the metal work, he didn't have enough left for a decent piece of wood. What an ugly stick of wood on that thing! On top of that, look at the lousy inletting job on the bolt handle! You could drive a truck through the gap and shape of that opening.

Looks like someone had WAAAAAYYYYYY too much time on their hands one day and smoking something illegal to boot! I laugh every time I see that picture. Even more so when I saw the price! - Sheister

I feel it a great loss too.

My curiousity was much piqued, with the subtle ability to etch something alongside the receiver and allow the hurking barrel nut to wispfully melt away from the mind's eye.

I wonder how big of a golden dung heap one would be forced to inlay,in order to steer the peepers from the gihugic barrel torsioning/headspace correction device, firmly affixed at the barrel/receiver's junction?

That'd been a golden heap of doody,to pull that 'un off. Troubled here,as I just cain't picture it,though I'm sure it were a doozy.......................

Big Stick,

Dang, you guys really disappointed me. I was thinking for my next project I was going to get a 788 engraved, have gold inlays added, then have the factory stock checkered by some master stock maker !!!!

(actually, truth be known, I had a 788 in 22-250 for quite a few years and the dang thing was a shooter)

Tony.

Simple case of morons running off one of their peers.

What makes you clowns so great? I would think, you could have helped this guy if you had wanted to. The word ankle bitter does fit most if not all of you in this thread.

I, by great misfortune, missed reading the posts that were deleted, so from personal experience on this site, I surmised the content.

THE marketing idea of the century! Hold on we are about to get rich! We need to make a mold to freeze a brown ice turd to float in high-falutin' fancy folks' party punch! Now that would have to sell better than a Ronco Rotisserre!

Black Cloud
Would help defray expenses if that object d' art is headed where I suspect it might be How about ivory inlays scrimmed with fragrant feces afloat instead?
