Those are 2" thick, prime ribeyes, dry aged for about 3 weeks ... farm fresh green beans, and a $100 bottle of 18 year old single malt in a Waterford crystal tumbler ...

Dinner most definitely will NOT suck ... (grin)

Gee's and I didn't get an invite, well deep six the beans and do some oven roasted red skin potato's and a salad wedge with some custard afterwards and I will agree to teach you to fly for 250 bucks an hour. Never mind just send the scotch.

Salad is present, but not pictured ... potatoes were passed on by the wife, due to the size of the steaks, and that she's on a pretty nice health kick right now, and figured that the fresh greens would be better right now ... can't argue with her on that, especially since fresh green beans are one of my favorites...

re: flight lessons ... as soon as I can afford my own aircraft, I'll take you up on that offer ... (grin)

ps. don't hold your breath waiting on the bottle ...

Hmmmm, looks like what contributed to my five way...and 21 days on life support. But it sure tasted good laugh

they were delicious ...

and now, the wife pulled a cheesecake out of the fridge, topped with all kinds of fresh fruit ...

I think she might have done something really bad, and she's just buttering me up right now, before she tells me what it is ...

hold on ... lemme go check the bank account and see if my money is still in there! ... (grin)

That's a nice meal I enjoy semi-regularly, but I skip the lightweight Bunnahabhain and cut directly to Lagavulin Distiller's Edition finished in Pedro Ximenex sherry casks. Big malt to go after a big steak.

If the good life is city living and drinking 18 year old stuff (vice the obvious) from a 'Waterford crystal tumbler' (WTF is that?) I'll stick with my hands smelling of herring and salmon slime whilst slamming a beer and eating a 2 day old sandwich.

YMMV
