I remember a post about Albert Johnson awhile back,I didn't have my scanner working then but I do now.So hears a few pics from this book I have.The first one shows the rifle and one of the RCMP constables he wounded.Would this be a model H ?

His rifle is a 99-F, 30-30, #292218 and since it was made in 1927 it probably has the "MP" stamp on the barrel.

You not only have to know the model but the time period of the rifle. 1899-F 99-F, pre-WWII 99-F, post WWII, pre 1960 99-F, post 1960 All different.

Gotcha,the only F I own is a 57 or 58.
I was thinking an H because it looks just like my 22hp.

I tried to buy the book off eBay last night. Saw one with a "buy it now" but the discription left a little to be desired, so I asked the seller a couple questions about it. BEFORE I got a reply, the book was GONE. Imagine that!!!! You snooze, you loose!!!!!
