I know i'm not in the right place, but maybe someone could point me towards the right one. Have a Savage 110E/S which the GunDigest 1973 has factory installed scope bases. Anyone know where I could find out more information about it? Seems to only have been made from 1973-'75. Thanks to all in advance. Art

I looked in the Blue Book but there is nother on the 110 E/S. You might buy a Savage catalog off of eBay in one of the years it was offered. The 70's catalogs are not to hard to find.

I don't know what info your looking for but my 1971 catalog has it listed as a package deal. Includes 110-E rifle, caliber 30-06, Savage 4X scope, rings and bases for $145.95.

Thanks for the info. I was also looking for roughly when this was made as well as how the scope mounts are held on. There are no screw holes inside the receiver. Were they welded, dovetailed??? Thanks again, ART

If I remember correctly, the "E" stood for economy grade hardwood pressed checkered, the "S" ment scope package. It was in std cal, 308,243,22-250, I am not sure if it was in 270 and 30-06. Emhart introducted with no bells just a economy firearm to hunt with, I think they finally droped the "E" in 1989 from all prduction, like I said, if I remember correctly.

Thanks again, ART The holes are there, two on the back of the receiver, two in front, not welded or brazed, but with screw to hold the bases.

I remember about the early 1980s advertisments in the American Rifleman of the Savage with the integral Weaver style bases. I don't remember how they did it but they were not screwed on. Thanks...
