I just got this gun two weeks ago... but somehow the .223 just doesn't do it for me, I'm a horesepower guy.

I'd rate it at 95% or so. Rifle is super accurate with both factory and handloaded fodder. Has less than 5 boxes of factory Black Hills 50 grain V-Maxes through it (200+ rounds), and 100 or so handloads for a total of around 300-350 rounds fired by myself and the original owner.

Standard Remington 700 Varmint Synthetic
HS Precision Stock
26" barrel
Trigger Job (3#s)
1-Piece Leupold std. bases
100 rounds un-fired WW brass
100 rounds once fired WW brass
100+ rounds once fired Lake City Brass
1/2 box (+/-) 55 grain Sierra Varminter
1/2 box (+/-) 50 grain Nosler BTs
30 rounds Black Hills 50 V-Max (shoot under .5")
RCBS Die set
RCBS Neck size die
Several plastic 50 & 100 round cartridge boxes

Would only be interested in trades for high-end long-range type glass

$635 Shipped

I kept the barreled action, bedded it in an old BDL-V stock I had lying around. Sold the rest of the stuff. Shoots better now than it did in the HS stock... and I got a sweet varmint rig for around $200.

I figured I'd hang on to it for the time being, even though the .223 is akin to masterbation as far as I'm concerned... it goes bang, but that's about where the fun stops.
