Lost in the whoop-de-do ya'll enjoyed on the blue tape thread was any meaningful discussion of whether deer actually do see blue well. It sure seems that they do. Some links below, for those not inclined to jump around like monkees, flapping gums and parroting each other. That will exclude some of ya'll. :-) The implications for muzzle tape color choice are, of course, staggering. Earth shaking. Etc. Heh heh. From the 4th link down: Deer might have a hard time picking a ripe tomato from a green vine, and the red taillights of a car would probably appear black to a deer, Miller said. On the other hand, deer may be able to see blue even better than we do. From the last link at the bottom: "As a result, deer likely can distinguish blue from red, but not green from red, or orange from red. Therefore, it appears that hunters would be equally suited wearing green, red, or orange clothing but perhaps slightly disadvantaged wearing blue." http://www.fieldandstream.com/article/Hunting/What-Deer-Seehttp://www.dogwoodridgeoutdoors.com/v.php?pg=11http://www.hunting.net/articles/article_detail.aspx?articles_id=574http://www.researchmagazine.uga.edu/summer2005/deerspeak03.htmhttp://sports.espn.go.com/outdoors/general/news/story?page=c_fea_QDMA_what_deer_see

I saw a movie where only the military and the police had guns. It was called Schindler's List.

Don't know for sure, but I've killed a bunch of deer while I was wearing blue jeans. And a lot of them without using a .358. Probably cuz I was using black muzzle tape.
Democracy is not freedom. Democracy is two wolves and a lamb voting on what to eat for lunch. Freedom comes from the recognition of certain rights which may not be taken, not even by a 99% vote. *Marvin Simkin* L.A. Times (1992)

And JO is still defending his blue tape theory?

Man you are obsessed with that!
I don't read those magazines. Except at the barber or something. If nothing else the "trophyism" really bothers me.
Do you?

I am a gentleman and a scholar (ahem). :-)
I didn't notice that he wrote that article! Those were just the first half-dozen or so to pop up with a Google search. That is interesting.
