My used sako rifle came with a BC carbelite. The forend flex like crazy but this rifle can really shoot. Is there a quick fix to strenght the forend other than toss it in the trash? I will have a custom wood stock but not until next year. thanks.

Get a piece of aluminum tubing around 1/4"-5/16" in diameter. Route a groove in the forend of the proper length and depth and glass bed the tubing into the groove. This will stiffen up the forend pretty well. You could also use a piece of arrow shaft or fiberglass section of an old fishing rod instead of the aluminum tubing.

Possibly even just make the groove and fill it with epoxy/bedding material...
