This past weekend, we visited my Mother (a trip from Colorado to Central Texas). Mom owns about 60 acres with three ponds. For three days all my boys did was set up in blinds and shoot snakes and turtles in those ponds. For hours they would wait for the perfect head shot.

Wow that takes me back in time to my days of having such fun as a kid. The only difference was.....I was shooting a .22 Remington with a Peep and my boys were hammering away with a 17HMR and a 3-9x40.

Regardless, it was fun watching my kids reinact my past and enjoy some of the things I use to do as a kid.

Anyone else have a story as such?

Life is Good....

"Sniping" some turtles will be on the 4th of July's agenda. Has been a family tradition for many a year (all year round) laugh .

Best to all this 4th .. BP...
