I hate to part with one but I need funds to help fund my annual hunting dues. I purchased this rifle that came from an Estate Sale. I have not had an opportunity to finish or shoot it. It is a German Mauser 98 in 22-250. The barrel seems to be new with sharp lands and grooves. I believe it is a Douglas #7 contour, 26 inches, .750 at the muzzle. The barrel is "in the white" and will need to be blued. The magazine well has been modified to accommodate the short cartridge and the bolt has
been nicely forged and swept back. It has a military trigger that has been worked and breaks at 2lbs. The stock is in great shape, light handling marks and sports a varmint forend for a solid rest. I think it is a [bleep] or a Bishop. There was no scope on this rifle when I purchased it but there is a one-piece base mount for a scope on the action. The M98 action has the original safety, which you could replace with a Buehler- Style Low Safety, $36.00 plus installation, purchased from Brownells. $550.00 includes shipping to lower 48. Your FFL required unless you live in the Hampton Roads area of VA and an exchange can be agreed upon. I prefer a Postal Money Order, as I do not have Pay Pal. Thank you for looking. Have a Happy 4th of July!
