Over on long range hunting folks really talk up this Nightforce NP-R2 reticle. Better by far they say than a standard mildot.

Why such high praise. The picture on the Nightforce website perhaps does not do the NP-R2 reticle justice... I am beginning to think I want one.

The R2 Probably is better for actual hunting, as the R2 divisions are spaced in MOA (inches)rather than MILs (radians?).
No difficult calculations would be required in the use of the R2. Also, the R2 could be used WITH a laser range finder easily, if no ranging is prefered with the reticle itself.
