I purchased an older BRNO bolt action 22 with Nazi markings about 15yrs ago in Phily. The dealer said it was one from a bunch in some check wharehouse that was never fired. He said they were formerly Nazi training rifles and that they were restocked and sent to the U.S. for sale. The rifle shoots great, but the trigger is like a pellet gun trigger with tons of creep and overtravel. Any body out there heard anything about these 22's. They have a sporter weight barrel and look much like the CZ's produced today.

I have a BRNO Model 4 .22LR I purchased about 15 years ago. It has a 25" bull barrel, target sights and a target stock. It has a very nice trigger as well. It cost about $300 complete. I use it on gophers out to about 200yds depending on ammo and wind.

All the BRNO rifles I've ever seen/shot have been excellent shooters. Not always the best looking but shooters none the less.

I have a new CZ 452 trainer that shoots almost as well as the BRNO but the trigger is not as good.

Don't know about any that were nazi marked but never really looked either.

Do a Google search for "eric brooks" + "452" + "trigger"

he makes a kit that will really improve those BRNO / CZ 452 triggers for something like $US 12

Addendum:

As I understand it, the action and trigger on BRNO rimfires has remained unchanged since its introduction, so Eric Brook's kit should work on any (as far as I can tell).

You are welcome!

I remembered the url to Eric's site: Great stuff for CZ/BRNO .22's

He is a great guy to deal with too.

Don't know so much, with the new ones anyway. Friend has a Varmint model, short heavy barrel, with a choise of triggers. Cheaper simpler one, and the normal one somewhat adjustable and probably a single set as well.
