Just watched part of a good story on the history channel about Kevlar. It showed them firing what looked like a .38 pistol at point blank range into the gut of a man wearing body armour made of Kevlar. Also showed them firing a .300 Win Mag into body armour on a dummy. Well it went thru the front and the dummy but didn't penatrate the back, now when they shot the helment it went in and also had a exit hole of what looked to be a couple inches. Real good story, for those interested you might catch it later.
