Hey! Just when it seemed that the danger had all been played out of today's hunting of dangerous game, along comes this story.
Seriously, how many of you, secretly or not, cheer just a little bit for the elephant, bear, Cape buff, or puff adder that turns the tables and gets his man? I have to admit that I do. I know it's wrong to look lightheartedly upon the injury or ultimate misfortune of a fellow human, but somehow it seems ok when hunting's involved. I mean, WE ARE trying to kill this animal, right? As a guy who was severely gored at the running of the bulls in Pamplona two years ago, I feel like it's ok to cheer for the bulls, the elephant, the Cape buff or the leopard or lion once in a while. Any other like-minded souls out here?
Looks like this elephant got his man.
