Could someone tell me how to apply the "webbing" after painting a stock. I'm not trying to steal any trade secrets here, just want to do a couple of DIY projects. Thanks in advance for any help. Mike

Krylon Webbing Paint...... I practiced on an old canoe paddle, if only 'cause it was just laying around... Buy an extra can to practice with, I'd guess, is fair advice. Easy to do, and makes for cool looking canoe paddles......

I might also give the webbing a try as a back-up. Just found the Krylon Fusion camo on olive, black and what they call sand. I'm going to try and do a GAP camo paint-job. If its ugly then it gets olive and black webbing. Good luck on your project - make sure to post when finished.

Only problem is that if it comes out of a spray can it will wash off with bore cleaner.

Spray it on while the base is still wet. If you get a spot you do not like, hit it with the base just in that spot. Not all webbing cans spray the same. Once you got it down, do a practice spray or two before you hit the stock. Once it is dry pull, pluck, rub all the strings that did not stick or are standing. Spray with Krylon Matte sealer. Like with any other stock finsh, be careful with the bore cleaner.

If you clear coat it with duracoat your bore solvent will not take any of the webbing paint off.
