Had a burglary at my house in 1980. They took the handguns but left the long guns.

Anyway, without a safe or the funds to buy one I dissassembled the rifles and hid the bolts or mags or whatever in different nooks and crannies of the house. When I did purchase new revolvers and automatics I hid the cylinders and slides similarly. Seemed like a good idea at the time, until I went to shoot them and could not remembe for the life of me where the hell I had stashed the bolt/cylinder/slide whatever!

Westman,
I have a Liberty Lincoln 36 gun safe. It is the best piece of furniture I have in the bedroom. Really nice paint job. The safes will fill up quick when you add target scopes with turrets. I believe I only was able to get 18 long guns in it (9 with scopes) and it is FULL. I could not get the muzzle loader to fit inside. Good luck on your search.

I have been considering getting the Cannon gun safe (see link above) from Costco. I don't know if you have a Costco near you but it sounds like the price given on their website includes shipping. The safe at their store is about $50 less if I remember right.

I just stumbled across a Liberty Colonial on the floor of a local Menards store that they are trying to get rid of due to some scratches in the paint.

I weaseled them down to 710.00 for it and wonder if I shouldn't grab this at that price.

It will hold my long guns with some easy modification to the inside.

Is this a decent price?

Jump on it with both feet Sir, that is a good deal!
