I'll be running the same 223AI as last year for deer. That's the exit wound you see leaking in the pic.

Steffen, my.338 Win. Mag. is built on a stainless model 70 Winchester Classic action with a 22 PAC-NOR barrel, which measures .610 at the muzzle. The stock is a factory take-off from an 06 Classic that was stripped, refinished, bedded and floated with a Pachmayer red recoil pad also added. The 3-9 Swarovski scope is held by Leupold detachable mounts. The New England back-up iron sights are very easy to shoot over and dont cause any scabbard issues. CP.

Kimberman, how do you like that Lightseeker scope on your Encore? Am looking at the Lightseeker line, thinking of trying one out. Marty

I like it alot. It has held zero for 3 seasons, is very bright, and has a large FOV. The power range is about perfect for my muzzle loader. Burris used to make the same scope in their Signature series, and I have a suspicion that they are one and the same. I think they are underrated.

This one, 6.5X55 O/U for big game, and a set of 20 gauge barrels for pheasants, partridge, geese ( yes geese!) and ducks. Cat
scopes are cool, but slings 'n' irons RULE!

I think I'll be doing all my big game hunting this year with primitive weaopons except Antelope which is kind of like fill the freezer to me anyway. Got to the point most of my hunting is by primitive weapon. Just works out that way. Isn't much shooting deer with a rifle when your out there with them every day of the year nearly. Elk on the other hand might give me fits.
Elk - Hoyt Vulcan WT - Hoyt Vulcan MD - none this year unless I go back to West Texas and hunt the dunes.
Antelope - whatever is in the truck that 3 days.
All waterfowl including ducks, geese, rails etc... Beretta 686 O/U with custom cracked walnut stock (Custom cracked by the Beretta repair department - then filled with off color epoxy - again by the Beretta repair department).
Otto is my co-pilot.
