Looking for a good tarp/tent shelter that is two man and under 4 lbs. Had the OR Night Haven shown but have removed it. need suggestions. Must beable to withstand harsh weather snow/wind etc. I do like the looks of this. Thanks for any help and your suggestions. http://www.golite.com/Product/proddetail.aspx?p=SH6115&s=1

Here's a link to a thread I had last year on this. See Bushcraft's response as I believe you hunt the same terrain/weather. On a side note, I have not pulled the trigger as my search continues. https://www.24hourcampfire.com/ubbth...&topic=0&Search=true#Post1377219Good luck in your decision. Mike.

when pitched with the right air gap, I love my betamid.
I would not buy something that runs on any kind of primer given the possibility of primer shortages and even regulations. In fact, why not buy a flintlock? Really. Rocks aren't going away anytime soon.

So the original link to the OR Nighthaven has now been replaced with a Golite product?
What the heck is this thread about?

Looks like it will do the trick. I use a BD megamid lite, and it will definatly take a beating(snow and wind). Stood up to some pretty harsh winds last year during the high buck hunt, and you can save weight by pitching it with a set of trecking poles. I've got one of mine rigged with a tigoat stove, for a heated shelter under 4lbs.
I have a budy who tours in the winter in the backcountry with it and said it takes the snow surprisingly well.

I think Shaq is so used to the ol' Bait and Switch with Mrs. Shaq, that he just forgot where he was for a minute. At the Shaq residence. Shaq: "Hey honey, I've been thinking. We should all take a vacation to Disney Land this summer. Mrs. Shaq: "That's a wonderful idea. Go see a travel agent and make the reservations!" Shaq returns home. Shaq: "I've got some great news dear. I was able to book that sheep hunt in B.C. for this fall!" The scene ends with Shaq sprinting for the door while ducking plates, pots, and knives.

Don't have one, but a guess would be that thing is gonna be darn clammy! I could not see why anyone would think that the ORNH would be that "clammy" with all the ventilation provisions mentioned in the write up. ANYTHING that is sealed enough to keep the bugs out will probably be too sealed to let enough moisture out for some people.

That's the most likely explanation... that Mrs. Shaq is a tough customer

I don't believe the Kimber Montana has condensation issues despite what others may claim

Any idea's for load developement?? The children are really benefitting. I feel their dodgeball skills are second to none!! They should have a great season this year! Hell it outa be an olympic sport!! Didn't realize my Montana could be used as an emergency shelter? That will help lighten the load... Thanks

Actually thought last night it was like huh, that's a pretty cool shelter. When really he meant. Are you a retard? I was a bit handicapped. Check out the new thread and help me deceide. Thanks

Shag, I'm easily confused so I usually have to ask for clarification
