Why do they think I value their opinion over that of Vinnie my trash man?
Arrogant asses, prisoners to their own egos. True-dat!! He's a good actor; one of my favorites. But his opinion on politics carries absolutely no weight. Now if he has opinions on issues facing the entertainment industry, I might listen because he has specific credibility in that department. But his pollitical views are just opinions.

I generally like his movies and I'll continue to go see them. His political views do not affect me at all and I will pay them no mind. He is as free as any other American to express his views.
I don't agree with my father-in-law and he is only too willing to tell me what he thinks, but I'll continue to have contact with him. I don't cut people off or discount what it is about them that I like, just because their political views are different than mine.
Matt Damon may be a complete idiot, but he makes some pretty good movies.
