I picked up a savage 110 in 308 and it came with a Banner 3-9X40. Has anyone had any luck with these scopes or do they just fall apart?
Thanks

The latter. Friend had a Banner model on a Rem 742 '06 in which part of the reticle fell off! I had one in 4x once, the crosshairs turned when I adjusted the eyepiece! This was back before I could afford my first Leupold scope!

A long time ago I had a Ruger Blackhawk in .357 Mag that had a Banner on it. After a bit of use the reticle turned sideways. It was sent to Bushnell for repair and returned to me. It happened again. I've never used a Banner since.

I currently own 5 bushnell banners four of them are the 3-9x40 site lites and a 6x40 all made by Bosch & Lomb and carry a lifetime warrantry. I have them mounted on Rem Model Seven 223, Savage 99eg 250-3000, Browning BLR 308, Savage 99E 308, Browning A-Bolt 300 win Mag.

In my opinion these are the best value for you dollar scopes there is. I have never had one fail or fog. I had one that I bought used and sent it back to Bushnell for a factory refurbishing and they did that and returned it to me all free of charge. Can you ask for any better service than that?

As soon as I receive my Savage 99C 22-250 I will be mounting another one on it.

Just can't get enough of a good thing I guess!

I have 2 Banner scopes 1 on my slug gun, 1.5-4.5X30 and I love it. The first deer I shot with it was in a near no light situation. I sat at the base of a oak tree along a well used deer path all day and had a 8 pt buck walk up on me just when it was light enough to see his rack against the dim blue sky he was about 20 yards away and that little 30mm bushnell got me that deer. The second is a 3-9-40mm I have this scope on my .338 and I shot my first bull this year in a horrible sleet storm the lens was wet and i did not have a crisp picture but it was clear enough for me to put the bullet in the moose's neck at 100 yards. So yes they are cheap but when you look through one with very little light they are worth their weight in gold.
