Violator22 has one...... Other than the fact that he can't shoot for schit, he doesn't seem to have much of any problems with it.

no cz is out mainly cause of that set trigger i had a 527 in a .223 in the heavy barrel syn. stock with alum. bedding block it was the worst shootin small cal. centerfire i have ever owned and that covers into the hunderds have got a ruger 77-.22 hornet and its ok after a trigger jod and some bedding work ane barrel lapping and polishing shoots around 3/4 in. groups at 100 yds. but i am not a ruger fan but i love the hornet round to use when calling coyotes in close in the brush just kinda liking the those remington mini actions they came out with but havent seen one in three year an now i found one when the buget is thight and wanting to get all the info i could before buying it

....Having acuracy problems with a CZ product certainly is in the unusual catagory. Most CZ owners report very good to outstanding accuracy. I personaly own 5 CZ rifles, and everyone of them is outstanding in the accuracy department. Among the CZ's I own is a 527 carbine in 7X39 Russian. Loaded up with S&B 123 grain factory ammmo it prints 3/4" groups at 100 yards, and thats with a 4X Leupold rimfire scope mounted. I'm sure the little carbine could do even better with doped out loadings, but it's use is limited to Georgia Whitetail deer and the S&B loading has proven itself excellent for that task (took a 186 pound 9 pointer last year with one shot through the lungs at 120 yards, the deer took three steps, and died right there!)
....Best of luck with whatever firearm is your choice.

yea i got 4 452 rimfires all very good accuracy but that .223 got ok with 69 grain bullets but who wants to shoot that heavy of a bullet from a .22 cal. as far as the trigger gos you all got to consider i am used to shooting jewel triggers in hunting rifels in 2lbs, offhand silhouette 6-8oz. and benchrest 2oz. and if your lucky that set trigger will go down to 1.5 lbs. and very inconsistant

My CZ 527 in 223 is the American Model, with the 1-12 twist. Yours has a 1-9 twist for use with the heavy bullets. There is nothing wrong with the single set trigger on those rifles at all. I had a CZ 527 in 222 and it had the single set trigger. Both triggers functioned flawlessly. I did tear down the trigger on the 527 in 222 and set it up for a GREAT break at 18 ounces in the unset mode. The set mode broke at 13 ounces. But I could get "into" the trigger in the unset mode better, so that's all I ever used. Both of my 527's shot three shots at 100 yards into 3/8" groups, so accuracy with each of them was always there. I sold the 527 in 222 as I had just bought two Remington Model 722's in 222 Rem, and I didn't need the CZ. But, I didn't sell it because it was inaccurate. The same load that delivered 3/8" groups with the CZ shot 1/4", 3 shot groups at 100 yards with one of the 722's.

I don't know that I have enough info for you to go on, but here's a try:
I haven't _shot_ the 799 but I've handled a couple. I like the looks of the gun but they are rough feeling, especially cycling the bolt and feeding. The bolt travel in the bolt race feels really rough and gritty. I dry fired one and was considerably underwhelmed by the trigger.
At the same time, at the range I saw a guy shoot one in 7.62x39 and for all the roughness, it did ok. 2 MOA or better with surplus ammo.
The gun seems to have a lot going for it but I would be hesitant to buy one unless I planned to spend a lot of time smoothing up the internals.
My opinion only, of course ...
