I haven't been in the Chanute area in years. There used to be a skeet club and several other groups around that area, including a SASS club with there own range. other than that or the rich folks country club, just try to get to know some of thefarmers around the area or any of the walk in hunting areas.

I'm about 30 miles from Chanute, but don't know of anything over there other than the elks club property on the north end of town. They have a small sporting clays layout and skeet range. There used to be a small range at the Independence Airport, but the city fathers used the excuse of Cessna moving in to close much of it up. I think there is still a skeet and trap range there though. Might check in the Iola area. Organized clubs are few and far between around here.

Might go into the gunshop there that is just west and south of McDonalds and ask if they know of anything else around.

Over west of Oswego is Claythorne Lodge for Sporting Clays, but thats probably an hour or so from you.
