The Major and Captain killed on 24 December, both named "Christopher", were friends and comrades of my son. He was home on leave at the time, and learned of their deaths when he returned to Iraq. For security reasons he can't tell me about the mission, but he did say they were doing the same job he does. They are all in our prayers.

Brings a lump to the throat, look at the ages of some of these heros, many in thier late 30's, 40's, and a few 50's. much has changed since Viet Nam,...."ALL GAVE SOME, SOME GAVE ALL". Prayers and sincere thanks to the families also .....joken2

Army Sgt. 1st Class Gregory B. Hicks, 35, of Duff, Tenn. Killed when the UH-60 Blackhawk helicopter he was flying in crashed near Fallujah, Iraq. Assigned to Company B, 1st Battalion, 9th Cavalry Regiment, 1st Cavalry Division, based in Fort Hood, Texas.
Me and Greg were in 4th Squadron, 17th Cav together at Ft. Bragg, NC back in the early 90's...he was in E Troop Blackhawks and I was in A troop Scouts..He was a good man!
