They certainly have a cult-like following around here.
I have two or three (at least one still brand new) around here somewhere. If I ever find them in my various piles of goodies, they're going up for sale.
While certainly nice, I can see no practical use for one on a hunting rifle. Too light, and too thin (narrow) for my tastes.

....They are a fine trigger for a bench rife, but in a field piece they are a waste of $ in my view, unnecessary...

Glad to see you saw the light, I agree with them being model perfect. I've ran on in my old 700/7 Mashburn for a long long time now and just can't imagine a better way to go!
I just wish that they made one for my G33/40...

The most important thing is to clean it properly. Use Naphtha (lighter fuel). It will leave a slight lubrication. Break cleaner will dry your trigger out and cause problems. A friend was cussin me for recomending Jewell, untill we started cleaning it with the right stuff. Now he is in love with Jewell.

Hey, welcome to the cult!!
I'm really fond of them, but then, I prefer a 12-16 ounce trigger for my hunting rifles and around 4 ounces for my varmint rifles. For me, a rifle just about isn't fit to take out of the safe 'til it's got a Jewell trigger in it.
On the other hand, if you want 1.5 pounds or more, you probably won't like the Jewell. Truly, they are adjustable up to 3.5 pounds or so but above 1 pound they seem to have a lot of creep. In that case you're probably ahead to swap in a spring kit into your factory trigger and do some adjusting.
There's no one size fits all that makes everyone happy.

I bought a Jewell trigger for a Model 700 this year. While it was at the gunsmith being installed I read about all the creep above 1 pound and worried about the 2 pound pull I had specified. When I got it the trigger was set at 2 pounds and there was not a hint of creep. Whew!

dustin, i've had as many as 12 Jewell triggers most of them have bottom safties and set at 12 ozs. , such as this custom 17 Ackley Hornet pictured below properly tuned 700 triggers will work, although a Jewell is the cat's meow cb <*)))>{
