I recently picked up a SS 700 BDL in 300 win. I want to replace the plastic stock on it. I am interested in getting into some longer range shooting (400+) and I'm not interested in a lightweight rifle as most of my hunting is from a tower blind or off a bipod overlooking a large wheat field. I am trying to choose between an accurate innovations laminate or HS precision sporter (i like aluminum bedding blocks). Scope will be Monarch 3-12 with elevation turret. Having a brake and hopefully a campfire knob installed soon. What are your opinions on these two stocks.

You can buy a bedding block from Whidden Gunworks and put it in any stock.

...and the McM alternative..at 1/3 the cost....B & C Gold Medal Tactical. I have one on my Savage and if the opportunity arrives again, I will buy another, and another, and another. VERY good stock.

Both are fine stocks.

I've been intrigued by the looks of the Accurate Innovations stocks. They can be a good looking stock. On the other hand, most of my hunting rifles wear synthetic stocks.

Your main decision here is do you like the look of wood or synthetic? Pick whichever look you like and run with it.

Have fun!
