It was the last mearns hunt of the season, so took advantage of a nice sunset Saturday evening. I went to a spot that had a tree and water hole to catch a reflection, but alas the hole contained no water, so "settled" for the silhouette of the tree. Afterwards, I drove to a point to camp for the evening. THe late evening sky still contained some nice color well after the sun settled below the horizon. And so the sun cast its blessing on another trip to southern Arizona. Doug~RR

Bump to the top since with the hunt season in progress, there should be some nice sunsets seen. From a recent elk hunt near Williams AZ:

Sunsets are just pictures unless you are out there doing what you love to do...

I noticed this old log home on Garland Prairie west of Flagstaff this past summer and thought it would be nice to shoot after a snow at sunset. I went there tonight. As dusk progressed, the sky turned peach before the blue of the earth shadow appeared. Just Peachy Earth Shadow. Not too much magenta though. Doug~RR

Another winter sunset from my back step. Most of my most colorful ones are from right here at home.

Doug~RR As we've come to expect, absolutely wonderful, in all regards. I love the comparison, both pictures do stand alone, either would be great, but nice to show them together to see the difference a few minutes can make.
