I read alot about the J-series but haven't seen much on the gunsliger, Has anyone ever packed meat with it? Elk 1/4's. Any advice or comments appreciated.

I used the Gunslinger to pack out some of my caribou last year and it wasn't ideal for it. There's just wasn't a lot of support for anything too heavy and I switched over to my frame pack on the next load.
The question isn't who is going to let me; it's who is going to stop me.

The X-1 and the Gunslinger would work, but have no stays to keep it from flexing, so it would probably hurt after a few miles.

I got a 80 lb Quickrete block, I think I will see if anyway to hook it up & see how it rides, feels. That should test it.
