I recently acquired a Husqvarna 9.3x62 on an FN 98 action, it's a good clean old rifle but it has a few things I would like to change. The sights are very basic and none too sturdy, I would like to replace them with an express style rear and a banded front, also the trigger is pretty dismal as far as pull weight with an inconsistent 7+ lb. pull and lastly I will be adding a scope so the wing safety will not work. I would appreciate your recommendations on these items.

Thanks in advance!

I have the exact same gun I believe with the ugly beech wood stock? The rear sight is pretty basic and light though the front ramp is fine. The trigger on mine was a standard military trigger so I replaced it with one of Ted Blackburn's fine triggers. I'd sugest you take a look at NECG for sights (Midway sells them too). I am not sure if Ted is still making/selling triggers but NECG also makes a nice one.

Timney trigger and Timney low swing safety. Both easily replacable. don't know about sights, lots of em in Midway or Brownell's.

Go with the Timney, they are hard to beat. As for the safety, try one of my two position modified ones. Email me if you are interested.

Tony,
I have the same one, the stock is beech but looks better than some I have seen. I was thinking of NEGC sights but unsure of the trigger. The last one I did was a Kleppinger (Sp) single set that worked beautifully both set and unset. Jkob, I sent you an e-mail.

Thank You Gents!

Bob
