Are an increasing number of shooters having problems with Winchester brass and ammo? I have noticed a number of postings on this site and comments at my buddies gun shop about unusual problems with Win. cases and ammo. Has anyone else seen a pattern?

Interesting. I was thinking about ordering a batch of 300 Savage brass and to my knowledge, Winchester is the only company that still produces them. I figure I'll wait now to see what all the jazz is about.

Most of the brass that I am using is WW and I have used it for years without any problems, in fact it remains one of my top choices along with Lapua and best of all RWS...

I've yet to have any problems with Winchester Brass, other than I can't get .280 Brass without a nickle finish and they don't make .260 brass at all.......

There probably isn't a problem; a handful of unrelated events is not real evidence. If a problem exist I think it would be with resently produced brass. I hope there isn't any defective brass; I have a good deal of WW brass on hand myself. I would recommend that High brass go ahead and order his WW .250 cases.

From time to time I've experience problems with all our domestic brass. I too use much WW brass in various cartridges and haven't experienced as many problems as I do with others. The worst common brass I ever had was Norma in 300WSM yet Norma in other cartridges seems to be better than our domestic brass. If I needed brass today I'd buy WW in a heart beat.

I've been having some problems with the depth of the primer pockets on some win brass lately. Seems like they "rock" a bit on my loading table till I ream them with my pocket uniformer. (And my uniformer removes quite a bit of brass and it's set to a minimum depth) Had this happend with both 308 win and 300 win brass in the past yr. I think I will buy rem from now on till I hit a problem there. Seems like there have been a few complaints on domestic brass on the forums...but then again there are more and more people participating these days....so as a percentage the problems may not be getting worse.
