Seven of us took six bulls and one cow . I took my bull at 492 yards with my 25 STW and the Barnes 100 gr TS. This was the quickest kill i have made on a Elk , he just collapsed at the shot . Bullet placement was where the neck joined the body with complete penetration. The bull was a nice 6x6 . He was at 11600 ft. Here is photos of the bull where he fell . I'm running 3800 fps with 81gr of Rel 22 with no pressure . I will work the load up a little higher when time allows. Yes I'm glad i was using this rifle. Though I think your instant kill came as much from shot placement as it did from the stw round...
